A better way to save, clean, tag, and share links

Nox Atlas is a lightweight browser extension for Chrome/Edge that helps you capture links fast, keep them tidy, and share them wherever you work — without handing your data to anyone else. It’s built for people who live in their browser: developers, researchers, and anyone who collects lots of URLs.

Why use it?

  • One place for links. Save from the toolbar, a dialog, or the context menu.
  • Stay organized. Tag, filter, search, and de-duplicate in seconds.
  • Fix messy links. Bulk tools help standardize URLs (e.g., convert to HTTPS, lowercase, strip spaces).
  • Share anywhere. Custom Actions let you send %url% to services like LinkedIn, Mastodon, or your own tools.
  • Own your data. Everything is stored in your browser — no cloud back‑end. Pro Sync can use a local folder or network share (optional).

How it works

  1. Save a link
    • Click the toolbar button and use Save URL, or
    • Right-click a link/page and choose Save to Nox Atlas, or
    • Paste multiple URLs using the Paste button on Saved URLs.
  2. Tag & find
    • Use Tags to group related links.
    • Filter by text, tag, or URL. The search box supports quick narrowing.
  3. Clean & standardize
    • Open Tools to perform helpful bulk fixes (e.g., convert to HTTPS, lowercase URLs, trim whitespace).
    • Click Remove Duplicates to de-dupe safely.
  4. Import/Export
    • Import from Bookmarks HTML, CSV, or HTML/JSON/TXT via Shared Links.
    • Export selected items or everything to take your data elsewhere.
  5. Custom Actions (power feature)
    • In Options, enable Custom Actions and add buttons that point to any web URL.
    • Use the token %url% which is replaced with the selected link.
    • Examples you can use today:
      • Share to Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=%url%
      • Share to LinkedInhttps://www.linkedin.com/sharing/share-offsite/?url=%url%
      • Share to Mastodonhttps://mastodon.social/share?text=%url%
    • These open a small window with the URL pre-filled so you can finish the post. (No app secrets, no server round-trips.)

Privacy & security (straight talk)

  • Your URLs are stored on your machine inside browser storage.
  • No cloud back-end: the extension does not send your links to me or to third parties.
  • Pro Sync uses a private folder on your computer or network storage device.
  • Thumbnail fetching can use Microlink (if you provide a key) and falls back to WordPress mShots. No link content is uploaded to my servers.
  • License checks contact noximaze.com only to validate your key.
  • No background “AI” processing of your data.
  • You’re always in control: export or delete at any time.

Permissions at a glance

  • tabs, activeTab, scripting — capture titles/icons, open tabs, and run small capture helpers you trigger.
  • storage, unlimitedStorage — store your links locally.
  • contextMenus — right‑click “Save to Nox Atlas”.
  • bookmarks, history — optional import and the Browsing History view.
  • notifications — show small completion toasts.
  • clipboardWrite, offscreen — copy/export helpers and the Image Helper page.

  • PRO license is a one-time purchase tied to your email.
  • Install the PRO version on up to five (5) personal computers.
  • Lifetime updates included.

(If you’re evaluating, start with the base features. You can unlock PRO on your own schedule.)
